We carry soldiers common in the U.S. in 51mm and 54mm that is 2 inches to 2 1/4" tall.
We allso carry near Ho scale that is 20mm to 30mm in size 3/4" of an inch to 1 1/4 inch tall.
You can mix the size of 45mm about 1 1/2" to 60 mm 2 1/2" tall togeather for I feel as Human Beings are all sizes from short to tall and in real battles all sizes found for a common cause. Ho and 1/72 scale can be use togeather but not with the larger scales. |

Toy Soldiers Scales:
HO -- .75 inch or 3/4" 1/72 to 1/87th
54mm -- 2.25 inch or 2 1/8" 1/32nd
Ho is small scale and lots of soldiers can be placed in small area and less storage room.
54mm to 51mm are the most common in US is much larger and easier to paint and stand.
45mm is the most common in Europe.
45mm to 60mm can be mixed in play but not Ho. |

Painting:
Most plastic figures now can be painted.
I use two paints, Model Master made by Testors found at Hobby Lobby (best prices I have found) and plastic spray paint found at Home Depot or Lowe's, prime if in doubt (plastic primer paint).
Clean always, you can use soap and water and if shinyness on plastic use rubbing alcohol to clean.
Paint in a warm room not cold.
To Correct Bends or not standing correct, use warm or as hot as you can stand, (not so hot to burn you) place the figure into a pan or pot with the warm or hot water and let set for 10 to 15 seconds and then remove from water and correct (bend the figure) correcting the problem, place into cold water or running water (5 seconds) and the figures will set. Plastic has a memory and after doing this the figures will do as you corrected.
Glueing is harder ------ sometimes, superglue works 30% of time, plastic glue (sold at craft-hobby stores works most time, Model Puddy works on filling holes and patches and glueing but is much slower and in repairs slower is better. I use the painters gloves to protect my hands.
