Patrick Henry's Speech 1775

"Give Me Liberty or give Me Death"

Patrick Henry's Famous Speech was delivered on March 23rd, 1775 before the Virginia Assembly in St. John's Church in Richmond, Virginia. The Assembly met there to get away from the British. Before the speech was delivered the Assembly opposed his leadership as they favored peaceful adjustment of the great dispute. However, the speech created astonishing effects upon those who heard it, and opposition melted.
Patrick Henry never left a copy of the speech and this is a hand written copy of St. George Tucker who was present and who seems to have retained the essence of the speech.

Mayflower Compact 1620

This Historical Document remained the only form of Constitution of the Colony.
The "Compact" the name's of the loyal subjects of Soveraign Lord King James, to the glory of God and advancement of the Christian Faith voyage to plant the first colony in the Northern parts of Virginia.
The "Compact", with the signers, as first printed in "Morton's Memorial" at Cambridge, Mass. in 1669, an official publication of the Plymouth Colony. The order of signing the original manuscript is not known.
